Misha Cihelka

Pianist & Composer

Welcome, and thank you for visiting my official website.

I am a professional classical pianist and composer based in Wellington, New Zealand.

Hear me perform live at an upcoming event, or enjoy my music at your leisure by purchasing an album.

I am also available for private bookings. Make your event sparkle with elegant live background music, or treat your guests to a powerful and engaging recital they won't forget.

Many of my recorded compositions are also available here as sheet music of varying difficulty, for pianists who wish to add some beautiful original music to their repertoire.

Join my mailing list to receive occasional emails about upcoming events and album releases. I will never give or sell your email address to anyone else.

Date and venue secured for upcoming recital

I have secured the beautiful venue St Andrew's on The Terrace for my upcoming solo piano recital. The recital will take place Friday 22 November 2019 at 7pm. Admission is by donation at the door on the night.

St Andrew's has fabulous acoustics, comfortable seating, and one of the best Steinway pianos in Wellington.

I will be playing a selection of beautiful music by Brahms, Chopin, Rachmaninov, Scriabin, and new music composed by myself. It's going to be a fantastic night and I look forward to seeing you there.

Welcome!

I am excited to announce the launch of my new official website, misha.co.nz, which coincides with my return to performing and composing after a 10-year hiatus.

I will be adding more content—recordings, videos, original sheet music, and more—over the next few months so do check in regularly. Or, better yet, sign up for my mailing list on the home page and I will keep you up-to-date.

I am really excited to be playing and composing again, and to once again have the opportunity and privilege of being able to share my art with you. I hope you not only enjoy my music, but that it moves and inspires you as all great music should.
